What We Believe

We Believe the Bible

We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be the Word of God, fully inspired and without error. We hold the Bible to be the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. It is our source of revelation of God, the knowledge of salvation, the origin of all things and of the hereafter. (Tim 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:21; Hebrews 4:12)

The Trinity

We believe there is one living and true God manifests Himself in three persons -Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, infinitely perfect and eternal in existence and equal in Glory, Majesty and Power.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is in and through the Lord Jesus Christ only. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ to be God, manifest in the flesh as the very Son of God, “Completely God and Completely man,” and Creator of all things with the Father, and the appointed Judge of all men. (Colossians 1:12-19; Acts 17:31) We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of the lost, and that this salvation is wholly by grace through faith.

The Deity of Jesus Christ

We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, His death on behalf of lost humanity, His burial, His bodily resurrection, His sinless life, His miracles, His complete conquest over the powers of Satan, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His High-Priestly ministry in the heavens and His physical return to the earth and the events pertinent to the following scriptures: (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Titus 2:12-14; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10) to receive His righteous inheritance both living and dead, and to execute judgment upon the wicked.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling Christians are enabled to live godly lives and minister super-naturally. We acknowledge the blessed Holy Spirit as Comforter, the divine Agency of regeneration, the Revealer of Christ, and His work on the cross. We believe that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available and operational in the body of Christ today. We believe in the baptism and indwelling of the Holy Spirit, with the endowment of power to witness, with the accompanying gifts, graces, and fruit of the Spirit. (Acts 1:8; Acts 10:44-46; 19:1-6; 1 Corinthians 12:5-11; Galatians 5:24; Romans 5:5)

Healing

We believe that divine healing is part of the great gift of salvation and is still in operation today. We believe that healing was provided for the spirit, soul, and body in the atonement of Jesus Christ. We believe that the laying on of hands as practiced in the New Testament is an operation of the ministry of the Holy Spirit for the healing of the sick, the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the impartation of spiritual gifts. (Mark 16:17-18; 1 Corinthians 2:9-10; 1 Peter 2:24; James 5:13-16)

Spreading the Gospel

We believe and recognize that the mandate and privilege of the Christian is to spread the Gospel to the lost world making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything that is commanded. This may be accomplished by preaching the Word, praying, living according to the tenets of the Bible, and the sacrificial giving of the saints. (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:18-20; Matthew 3:9-10; 1 Corinthians 9:7-23).

Unity of Believers

We believe in the spiritual unity of all who believe in our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe all Christians are called into a life of separation from sinful practices, and that they should take every opportunity to promote righteousness and godliness. (James 4:4; Romans 12:1-2; 1 John 2:15- 17; 11 Corinthians 6:13-18; Romans 13:1-10

The ascension gifts

We believe in the operation of the ascension gifts of the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, to build the body of believers within the church and for the work of the ministry in the nations.

The Church

We believe the church consists of all those who believe in Jesus Christ and in His atoning death, and who trust in Him as their personal Lord and Savior. He gave His church the ordinances Holy Communion and water Baptism (by immersion).

The Blessed Hope

The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the Lord, is imminent and is the blessed hope of the church (1 Thess. 4:16; Rom. 6:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Cor. 15:51,52)

The Millennial Reign of Jesus

The revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, the salvation of national Israel, and the millennial reign of Christ on the earth are Scriptural promises and our hope (2 Thess. 1:7; Rev. 19:1l-‐16; Rom. 11:25; Rev. 20:1-7).

The Lake of Fire

The devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and whosoever is not found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns Eire and brimstone, which is the second death (Rev. 19:20; 20:10-‐15).

New Heavens and New Earth

We, as promised in the Scriptures, look for new heavens and a new earth wherein righteousness dwells (2 Pet. 3:13; Rev. 21: l).
